JOIN AN EXISTING NCEA GROUP
As of May 2020, three groups have been created covering project learning, Te Reo Māori and Māori Performing Arts. Each group is led by a "Kairuruku" whose role is to support group members and grow collaboration. This is a sharing opportunity while being led by an experienced kaiako in each subject area. More groups will be created as the demand for each subject grows.
TE REO MĀORI
Kairuruku - Tokoaitua Winiata Ko Tokoaitua Winiata tōku ingoa, he mangainga, he makawerau o te ngare o Huia, o te iwi o Ngāti Raukawa ki te tonga. Tēnā koutou katoa, ko Di Cavallo tōku ingoa. I am excited to take on a Kairuruku role for Te Tuitui Kaupapa (Project based & Integrated learning). I bring over two decades’ experience leading learning across Aotearoa and UK, the past 7 years as Foundation DP leading integrated learning design and collaborative practice at Hobsonville Point Secondary School. My background in design influences my approach to developing authentic deep learning experiences that are connected to people, place and community. |

PĀNGARAU | MATHEMATICS
Kairuruku: Sheree Muggeridge Tēnā koutou katoa, ko Sheree Muggeridge tōku ingoa. I am Pouwhakaako o Pāngarau at Ngā Taiātea Wharekura and I am excited to take on a Kairuruku role for Pāngarau. I have over 15 years experience in education, in both teaching and leadership roles. I believe in personalising learning through challenging educational norms, being adaptive and responsive to the needs of my learning community and creatively interpreting the curriculum to provide the best learning opportunities for my students. I look forward to working as part of the Pāngarau team and embrace any opportunity to collaborate and learn both from and alongside my colleagues and my students, particularly as I navigate the challenges of how to simultaneously be a teacher and a learner in a kaupapa Māori environment. |
